Under the Bridge.
Today’s photograph is taken not far from yesterday’s image. The Crown Inn is just to the left of the shot. Getting out a little earlier than last night, there is more evidence of “The Blue Hour”. It is a balance in getting it dark enough to enjoy the artificial lighting yet still having enough daylight for the sky to be blue. We are looking under the bridge that takes Withybed Lane over the Worcester & Birmingham Canal.Canal photographs looking under bridges gives a great perspective. Here, the camera is much lower to the ground than the normal human viewpoint. The towpath forms a strong lead-in line to the shot, guiding the eye to the reflections, whilst opening up the rest of the scene as the canal heads off to the right.
