Night time view of the newly refurbished pub.

Our location is now Alvechurch. A pretty little village on the outskirts of Birmingham, near Redditch. The canal skirts around the village, crossed by the railway just before the station. We are moored just by the railway bridge in an area known as Withybed. There is a lane in front of us, and it is just over this bridge that the recently refurbished Crown Inn is located.I was hoping to get a photograph of this attractive pub last time we were here, but it was closed for refurbishment. This has now been completed and I have been able to get the shot that I wanted. They have certainly done a great job on the exterior. Just at the tail end of “the blue hour”, the sky still has some colour in it and the shadows are still relatively light. Haven’t yet had chance to sample the delights of the interior or the food on offer…
