Another old pub,

Another building with that tell-tale look about it that says “ex pub” to me! Again on my routine dog walk, this is not very far away from the former Fountain Inn featured three days ago. It is such a shame that so many of these old hostelries are closing and I guess more will not survive the current crisis, which will be a great shame. This used to be the Fox and Goose pub in Warwick Street, Wolverhampton.

Records suggest this establishment dates back to 1881. After it closed as a pub, it seems it became the Wong Li Chinese Takeaway. This could explain the metal screens at the windows. It now appears to be divided into two flats.

Yes it was the Fox pub. My mother was born in the upstairs bedroom and lived there with her family during Ww2.
