Wolverhampton Station Entrance

The new alongside the old.

This week, things have changed! There has been a lot of work going on here for the last year or so. The photograph of Railway Drive 10 days ago showed the view looking down the road in this direction. The tram lines at the moment don’t make it this far – presumably that will be the next stage. But now, the late 1960s building stands empty and the new Wolverhampton Station entrance has taken over.

The 1960s station building of course replaced an older (and far more tasteful) construction which in itself was a replacement for the original, the Queen’s Building, photographed two months ago now which, for some reason, was quite some distance away.
