Rookery Bridge, Wyrley and Essington Canal, Wednesfield

Light and Reflections.

Moving up a little from yesterday’s photograph. We are alongside the Retail Park, where the Wolverhampton Road crosses the Wyrley and Essington Canal. It is hard to imagine this as an industrial scene busy with boats carrying their goods along the canal. Much in this picture is very modern, although traces of the evidence of the history can be seen. The brickwork on Rookery Bridge itself gives some idea of its age.The long exposure flattens out the ripples in the water, giving a smooth effect. However, the reflections give away the movement.
