Tim's One Photograph a Day

Nickelodeon Pub and Carvery, Bentley Bridge.

At the end of the former Bentley Canal.

This is in the Bentley Bridge Leisure Park and the canal in main shot is all that remains of the BCN Bentley Canal. Immediately behind the boat was the first of six locks dropping the canal, although the Retail Park now built over the line is level! To the left can be seen the Wryley and Essington Canal (Curly Wyrley), which is still open. Centre left of the picture is the Nickelodeon Pub and Carvery, which effectively has the old canal as a water feature. The bridge in the foreground takes the main towpath over the Bentley branch. The retail and leisure parks are well lit and make for an effective night time shot. However, to ensure the bridge was not too dark, I used the torch on my phone to illuminate it.
