Ice on the Canal.
I enjoy posting photographs on here that I have taken time over and carefully considered. However, that is not the sole aim of this blog. Sometimes, like this morning, a simple “snap” that captures the day is perfect. Whilst I could have gone to the trouble of getting the “big” camera out, mobile phones are very good at capturing the moment. We woke up this morning to a gloriously sunny day, with a thin crust of ice on the canal. Before you ask, no, it isn’t particularly cold on the boat in winter! Bear in mind it is a relatively small space. The exterior may be 58′ long and 6′ 10″ wide, but the interior is nearer 40′ x 6′. Our coal fire keeps us nice and snug. So snug, we often have to open the windows – even when it is freezing outside.
