Tim's One Photograph a Day

Crane at Newbury Racecourse.

The Crane.

Crane: Pointing the Way Ahead.

Pointing the Way Ahead.

Taking a walk around Newbury Racecourse this evening, I went past a large development. This crane caught my eye. Standing proud against the sky.

It was the contrast against the blue sky that first attracted my attention. However, when processing the image, it just didn’t seem to work. The blue was very blue, the clouds were very white, and well distributed.

I therefore looked at the HDR filters. This was the effect that I felt worked the best. It has something of an olde worlde feel to it.
