Tim's One Photograph a Day

BCN Main Line on the Approach to Wolverhampton.

A modern scene today!

Taking advantage of my one exercise a day, I saved it until this evening to capture this shot on the approach to the centre of Wolverhampton. There is s hint of a mix of new and old here – on the left, modern blocks of flats survey the scene, whereas on the right old industrial walls still soldier on. The grassy bank half-way down on the right is the remains of a bridge over an former branch that came off the BCN Main Line, rejoining where the Sanitary Station is near Broad Street. In the distance can be seen the modern car park for Wolverhampton Station, with an older structure on top of “Broad Street Tunnel” behind. The ducks were clearly fast asleep, as there is hardly a blur despite the 30 second exposure!
