Padworth Lock.
Following on from yesterday’s shot, to the east of Aldermaston Wharf is Padworth Lock. Today has been quite cloudy throughout – in fact this evening, when I went out to take this, it was even drizzling a bit.
Once again, the benefits of the “Blue Hour” can be seen. They grey clouds take on this lovely blue hue. An exposure time of 4 minutes makes the image seem like daylight.
There is some lighting from a local recycling centre. This is casting the interesting patterns on the lock gates, and on the grass either side. The long exposure also smooths out the slight movement in the water, giving crystal clear reflections.
