Pancake Race.
Today’s “One Photograph” was sort of handed to me on a plate. Well, frying pan, perhaps! We had gone into Newbury for a meeting, then went for a coffee, and heard about the annual pancake race.
Too good an opportunity to miss. A traditional event, apparently. As is throwing pancakes from the balcony of the Council offices! Never has the camera taken so many shots in such a short period of time. Many using the “burst” facility.
Several shots were worthy to be used today. I have chosen this one, as this is from the final. It shows the two front runners on their final leg battling for the win, which ended up as a photo-finish. Another runner can be seen about to turn around the cones at the end.
