New Inns Road Bridge on the Titford Canal.

New Inns Road Bridge.

New Inns Road Bridge, Titford Canal.

Almost breathtaking at night!

Moving on slightly from Uncle Ben’s. Behind us is the remains of the Langley Maltings, featured a couple of months ago. The industrial heritage of this canal is slowly slipping away, but there is still plenty of evidence. The street light is casting a golden glow across this scene, complimenting the last of the blue in the sky. Here is another crossing over the Titford Canal with the rather odd name of New Inns Road Bridge – yet the street above is Station Road.In the distance you can see the works for a new housing estate. On the right, until last year could be seen the remains of the Bridge Inn, which had been partially demolished after a fire in 2013. All part of the ever changing scenes along the Birmingham Canal Navigations.
