Molineux Subway – Pathway to the Stadium.

Molineux Subway.

Molineux Subway.

Bright and Colourful.

This is the foot-way from Wolverhampton City Centre through to the football ground. On the other side is a mural for the University. This side, as you can see, has a potted history of the football club itself. The name, which is also shared with the stadium, is that of the wealthy iron founder and banker who owned the land on which the stadium now stands. Going underneath the ring road, the Molineux Subway provides a safe crossing.

I rather liked the reflections of the central strip lighting on the panels. The original side lighting (a feature of many an old subway) can still be seen along the top of the wall.
