Leicester Road, Rugby.
There’s nothing more disappointing than seeing what looks like a brilliant sunset in the making – only to discover it isn’t when you get out with the camera! So today, I decided to make do with a shot of light trails on Leicester Road, Rugby.
Having said that, the sky was at least interesting. Using a very small aperture, I was able to extend the exposure to a decent 10 seconds. It was then just a case of waiting for the right traffic.
In fact, I was quite lucky. An articulated lorry went past in one direction, and a bus the other. The latter has given the yellow/orange stripe (from the destination display). The truck has given the higher level red lights.
Interestingly, there is what looks like a crease in the image. This is, in fact, the roof line of the lorry. Although it wasn’t what I set out to take, i am very pleased with this shot of Leicester Road.
