For the Festival season, Centenary Square in Birmingham is transformed. Over the last couple of years, it has been something of a building site anyway. More recently, the main area has reopened with a water feature as its centrepiece. To the right of this shot, there is an Ice Rink. Here, though, the water feature is covered over and replaced by these two rides. The Skyrider and the Big Wheel.Behind this scene can be clearly seen the modern Library of Birmingham. The concrete arches to the left are that of the Repertory Theatre, which joins onto the library. The white pillars that are visible are lighting columns.
