The Clifton Inn, Rugby.
We have been past The Clifton Inn several times, but not been in. Today, we popped in for a quick drink at lunchtime. In many ways, it was like a step back in time!It is clearly not spoilt by being part of a chain. No modern styling, although it is probably far more open plan than it would have been originally.
This just goes to show that with the right attitude, an independent pub like The Clifton Inn can survive. We have heard that the food is good. A 5 star Food Hygiene rating is obviously a good sign too.
Unsurprisingly from the banner outside, there are several large TV screens showing sport. However, these were not over intrusive whilst we were in there.
Bit of an overcast day, but still a reasonable shot. This was the best angle to get the whole of The Clifton Inn in picture. Unfortunately there is a load of ugly street furniture blocking the view from the front!
