A Box of Oranges.
It has been a wet day today. Not particularly conducive to photography. Towards the end of the day, I still had had no inspiration. Walking back from town we went past the supermarket. That was when I had the idea of taking a shot inside. These nets of oranges caught my eye.
The Olympus came in really handy. Small enough to be unobtrusive. I didn’t particularly want to attract attention to myself taking photographs of their produce with a professional camera!
I preset the camera discretely, and then took a quick look. The fruit and veg looked like the best displays. My first attempt, looking along a range of produce was OK, but nothing special.
Seeing the box of oranges in their nets, I realized that this had potential. The blaze of colour against the red of the netting. A slight rearrangement of the display to fill some gaps, and the photo was in the bag.
