Birmingham Library.
This is the distinctive Birmingham Library. We are moored on the canal just behind it, so have quite a good view of its rear!It is always nice to see buildings illuminated at night. If done well, makes them great subjects to photograph. The first couple of nights we were here, there were a number of different colours at different levels. Unfortunately, most of the time it seems to be just this boring blue.
Curiously, the photograph shows the colours better than the naked eye. From a distance, it looks great. But the closer you get, the less well the illumination appears to work. However, the camera has captured it well.
The building not only houses Birmingham Library. To the left, you can see the entrance to the Repertory Theatre.
