The Sussex Downs.
This is a good case in point that I should always carry my camera around with me. Especially now I have the lightweight Olympus. However, the walk up onto the Sussex Downs was not exactly planned.
We were taking my wife’s Guide Dog for a quick walk before heading back to the car and the return journey to Newbury. Planning to walk round Lancing Manor Park, I hadn’t bothered with the camera. However, one of the paths leads up onto the Sussex Downs, and we ended up heading that way.
Once up there, I could immediately see the photographic possibilities of this vista. The building in the distance is Lancing College Chapel. It was therefore down to the trusty phone to capture the image.
I was taken by the view. The green of the grass contrasting with the relatively recently ploughed field. The backdrop of the trees and rolling green download in the distance. All topped off with the rather impressive sky.
The resultant image, however, was rather flat, because of the lacklustre lighting. I have therefore given it a bit of HDR treatment to enhance the contrast.
