Chairoplanes: Riding High! Fun for All.

Riding High! Fun for All.

Going into Reading, there were signs to “Carters Steam Fair”. That was definite temptation for a photograph! With a lovely sunny day as well, there was cause to stop on the way back.

Having said that, the best time to photograph a fairground is when it’s dark, and the fair is lit up. I may, of course, have to go back! In the meantime, during a sunny day is a good opportunity to highlight the colours.

The Chairoplanes offer not only a good splash of colour, they are easy to show the action. At full speed, they swing out at a good angle. Even with a 1/500 sec exposure time, there is still a hint of blur on those closest to the camera. Of course, this is down to depth of field, not movement!

Getting close keeps the image busy looking. Being daytime, the ride was not well populated. But, this shot does give the impression that the chairoplanes were busy.
