Tim's One Photograph a Day

Bournemouth Bay Coastal Sunrise.

Coastal Sunrise.

Coastal Sunrise.

Sunrise over Bournemouth Bay.

No matter how many sunrises or sunsets you see, every one if different. Just compare this to the coastal sunrise taken in almost exactly the same spot just over two weeks ago.

Different cloud formations and weather conditions – even a few minutes – can make a tremendous variation. Just a little while before this shot was taken, the sky was almost completely red, as the sunlight was captured on the undersides of the clouds.

Once again, the lone dog walker is on the beach. Is it the same one? The clouds this time are completely different, and there are no trails across the sky. But, the light, broken clouds give an attractive display of colour. Maybe not the most dramatic, but certainly a very pleasing result.
