CCF 648.
There is something special about a coach like this 1951 Bedford OB CCF 648. Classic lines, lovingly restored, immaculately presented. And the beautiful “old coach” smell inside!
The Duple coachwork has wonderful sweeping lines and chrome trim. Inside, there is polished woodwork. The seat backs have ashtrays! This is one of the last of the OBs – production ceased in 1951. This vehicle has been restored to mint condition.
This 27 seat petrol driven vehicle is typical of many used as school coaches. I can remember going to school on a similar coach. It has a maximum speed of 40mph!
I spotted this in Newbury, as I was driving a service bus past the town’s coach park. It had brought a hen party from Winchester. Fortunately, I was due a break, so I was able to nip back and grab a number of shots.
