Reflections Under the Bridge.
I went out to take today’s photograph, and my eye was caught by this reflection under the bridge. I must have walked under here dozens of times, but not taken any notice of the potential shot.
Whether it was the late evening sun, or I was less distracted, I don’t know. But, as I walked, this view just caught my eye. The lines draw the eye to the wall opposite. It doesn’t matter if you are looking at the underside of the bridge, or the reflections in the Kennet & Avon.
The view is both boring and mesmerising at the same time! Despite being a hideous modern concrete bridge, at this particular angle there is a certain beauty.
I positioned myself as centrally as I could, and set the horizon across the middle of the image. Normally, you should avoid having the centre of focus in the middle, but there are times when this rule needs to be broken. This view under the bridge is one of them.
