Tim's One Photograph a Day

View of West Mills Newbury.

From the Swing Bridge at West Mills, Newbury.

Looking towards St Nicolas Church.

This is another of those fairly timeless views. West Mills Newbury, as viewed from the swing bridge, looking towards the town centre.

The tower of St Nicolas Church can be seen straight ahead. The canal turns slightly to the left as it heads towards the Town Lock. Reflected in the canal are the flats that have replaced the Town Mill that was on the site.

This photograph was taken late evening as the sun was setting. Although looking away from the sun, there is still some colour in the clouds. I have chosen to add an HDR effect from the Nik Collection to enhance the atmosphere.
