The Two Boats Inn, Long Itchington: Well lit, and some beautiful reflections.

Well lit, and some beautiful reflections.

Back on the move again. Onto new territory, as far as our cruising is concerned. We are now heading along the Grand Union towards Warwick and Birmingham. Tonight we are in Long Itchington. This is the canal side Two Boats Inn.Followers of this blog will realise that this combines everything I enjoy about photography. The long exposure. The blue hour. A pub all lit up. A canal, and reflections!

This is a particularly fine looking canal side pub. Dating back to 1743, it will no doubt have seen many a working boater in times gone by. Inside, on the whole, it still looks pretty much a traditional old-fashioned pub.

This photo of the Two Boats Inn was actually taken from the garden of the pub on the other side of the canal! It was an easy task to set up the tripod and aim across the water. Very pleased with the result.
