Dating back to 1903, the Chamberlain Clock commemorates the local MP Joseph Chamberlain. He was a resident in Frederick Street, in the Jewellery Quarter. It stands at the junction of Vyse Street, Frederick Street and Warstone Lane. It was originally clockwork, wound by a handle! It was later modernised and powered by electricity.

By the 1980s, it had fallen into a state of disrepair. It’s chimes had also stopped. However, by 1989, the Chamberlain Clock had been fully restored.
